Looking For a Few Good Men (or Women)
by Sunil JamesSo, a couple of months back, we interviewed Peter Markowsky for a position within the Arbor Security Engineering & Response Team (ASERT). I’m glad to see that he eventually ended up @ Google, which, by the way, is on a security hiring frenzy, it seems. Anyway, Peter briefly blogged about his interview experience with us, thereby creating an opportunity for me to say one thing:
WE’RE STILL HIRING
’tis true, my friends. We’re seeking those code slingers, those jack-of-all-trades, those x86 ninjas who’re looking to truly be challenged again. It’s funny, though. Being a “security” guy isn’t as important as being a “software” guy. At its core, we’re looking for software engineers w/ a bent towards security, not necessarily vice versa…something EXTREMELY hard to find in and of itself, as all other security product vendors can likely attest to. If only there weren’t so many darn west coast-based shops exploiting their natural habitat of all-year round beautiful weather…I retort by asking, “who wouldn’t want a change of seasons like you have in beautiful Ann Arbor?”
